About WMIK

WMIK Radio
WMIK 560AM/92.7FM is a historic radio station in Middlesboro, Kentucky. It has been in continuous operation since Novemeber 14th, 1948. The picture of the WMIK studio is as it appeared in 1948 until additions were added to each side in 1971.
Both stations were purchased by the Binghamtown Baptist Church through Gateway Broadcasting Corporation in October 1992 from the The Cumberland Gap Broadcasting Company.

Both stations continue to serve the Cumberland Gap region twenty four hours a day with a mixture of local and nationally known ministers, Southern gospel music, and local programming. The Binghamtown Baptist Church Sunday morning worship service began broadcasting in the early 1950s and is one of the nation's longest consecutively airing church broadcasts.
